This kit comprises of a hole cutter, fitting tool and 20 solid brass No 4 grommet eyelets with a 15mm hole diameter*.
Our super tough grommets feature spur toothed washers that pierce through the material and interlock into the rolled rim of the grommet, these are exceptionally strong components used in demanding applications.

*An eyelet consists of two parts: the eyelet “front” and a “washer” the material is tightly griped in a sandwich between them when fitted by the tool, the size specified is approximate and dependant on the type and thickness of material being eyeleted and tool used.
We make our eyelets from high quality solid brass NOT brass plated steel, therefore they don’t rust. They’re made to the original BS3102 standard and so are produced from suitably thick enough brass not to distort when put under strain and to not feel “flimsy” or lightweight.

I used this kit to successfully repair a cover on a trailer tent where the existing eyelet had pulled out and the hole in the cover had torn in 2 directions. I won’t bore you with the details, this was very tricky involving insertion of an aluminium alloy plate, then fitting the new eyelet through that with this kit. I did not use the cutting tool supplied as I measured the neck of the eyelet and found it seemed to need a 17mm hole – not 15mm.
I had been warned by a professional cobbler that the kits you can buy online from amazon, temu and others all for around £10 to £15 are completely useless rubbish.
This Hanolex kit is industrial heavy duty high quality gear and providing you need to use it for more than just one eyelet ever, seems to me to be worth the price.

I bought the start set so I could replace missing and broken eyelets on my canvas tent , the kit is of very high quality tools and eyelets , cutter tool cuts right through heavy canvas with ease eyelets fit nicely in the hole made, tool are made of high quality steel given a great finish , these are nothing like the cheap stuff you can buy in no other selling site buy cheap buy twice , you can’t go wrong using this product 5 stars .
